Chris Benz World Record Chase

Lüderitz - the fastet spot in the World in Kitesurfing & Windsurfing. Here starts the world famous record race on the highspeed track at the coast of Namibia every year, where the best sportspeople from around the world have beaten 11 Ultimate World & 55 National Records since 2007.

The warm desert winds accelerate through the surrounding hills and on reaching the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean thermal atmospheric pressure creates incredibly high wind speeds up to 65 knots.

In 2012 the racetrack was improved again to ensure more performances.

Within the support of the Ministry of Environment & Tourism months of improvement measures resulted in an event, that was watched and followed all over the world. Over 50 professional athletes from around the world take part of the event every year.
